The Poet Life has created the one and only HOMECOMING FOR POETS and lovers of poetry! We’ve successfully transformed a dynamic one-day festival into a phenomenal three-day weekend of events that promises to go beyond your expectations and leave you breathless!     Let’s start the weekend in All White to set the tone for all of the fun we will have! Come dressed to light up the room the night before the festival! Bring your dancing shoes and your latest moves!

Ernestine Morrison

Ernestine Johnson Morrison is an electrifying, energetically bold artist and compelling actress. Starting her acting career in Hollywood, California Ernestine began as a featured extra on major WB network shows. She hit the Big Screen for the first time in Think Like a Man Too starring Kevin Hart. Her recent T.V. credits include Queen Sugar and Ambitions on OWN, Shots Fired and 24 Legacy on the FOX network, and Broad City on Comedy Central. Ernestine is also infamous in the spoken word world for being uncensored and untamed on the microphone speaking on social issues and being a voice for women. She is one of this generation's most viral poets. Her original spoken word piece “Average Black Girl” performed live on The Arsenio Hall Show broke the internet with over 40 million views. She followed up with "Red Bottoms" and a rendition of Beyoncé’s “Formation” that also took the internet by storm.

Christopher “Cocktails” Cornell has been wowing crowds with his colorful poetry and prose for the past two decades. As an Executive Producer, Public Speaking Professor and Coach, Poet, Author, and renowned Event Host, Cornell delivers high-energy performances that leave listeners on the edge of their seats. He is the founder of E Period, LLC, which specializes in special events and marketing campaigns. E Period provides top-notch entertainment for corporate clients, music venues, colleges & universities, churches, community organizations, festivals, conventions, and more. In addition to providing entertainment, Chris Cornell is a widely sought-after host for local and international events.
